Phase+ Diabetic Product Review and Giveaway

Tuesday, January 8, 2013

Do you or someone close to you have diabetes? Are you always worrying about their health? Taking care of yourself or your loved one is very important when diabetes is a factor.

My husband has Type II diabetes and I am constantly worrying about his overall health, but I also have concerns about his foot and skin health. He has bad feet and sores which is a major issue. I could never find the right product that we were both happy with to help alleviate some of his problems until I had the chance to review Phase+ Diabetic products.

I was sent Phase+ Foot Therapy and Phase+ Exfoliating Wash to let my husband try. I received 2 full size products for review.

Phase+ Foot Therapy soothes and heals dry, cracked feet to relieve pain and discomfort.  The everyday foot cream is enriched with ingredients to soften calluses, promote blood flow and provide a healthy skin environment.  It also creates a protective barrier that keeps feet moisturized and comfortable.

My review: This is a great product. Phase+ Foot Therapy smells like you've stepped into a mint garden. I rubbed the cream on my husbands feet every night before bed. His feet felt like smooth and I could actually see a difference within 3 days. His feet weren't as cracked or rough as before. The fresh, crisp minty  smell is also a plus with him and me both. The cream goes on white, but once you rub it into your feet it disappears into a soft, smooth feeling.

If you have diabetes or know someone who does I recommend this product 100%. You're feet will thank you for it!

Phase+ Exfoliating Wash. This dual-action formula deeply cleans and exfoliates without drying or damaging skin.  Specially designed with clinically proven ingredients to gently polish away dull skin to safely reduce and prevent thickening of the skin.  This invigorating wash will leave skin feeling renewed.

My review: Another A+ product. This wash smells like you've walked into the middle of a minty, eucalyptus field. My husband is used to using "manly" body washes in the shower, but all that had been doing was drying out his skin. I had no idea it was actually harming his skin as well. When he tried the exfoliating wash for the first time, I made him wash his hair with it as well(because he's diabetic his scalp flakes and makes sores in his head). After one shampoo I could begin to see the difference. His skin and scalp were less flaky. He smelled refreshed and his skin looked healthy.

Both products are a must have if you are a diabetic or know someone who is. You can find out more about Phase+ on their website or FB.

Phase+ has generously agreed to give one lucky reader one full size tube each of Phase+ Foot Therapy and Phase+ Exfoliating Wash. Enter on the rafflecopter below. US only.

Disclosure: I received two products from Phase+ to review. Opinions in this post are my own. High Heels and Hot Flashes is not responsible for any statements made by Phase+ regarding the products mentioned.

My dad and my uncle have diabetes. My uncle refuses to take care of himself and is going blind, having seizures, etc. It is scary to think that the same could happen to my dad, but my dad lost quite a bit of weight and started taking better care of himself to prevent having further health problems.

I have type 1 diabetes -- just diagnosed at the age of 27. I'm still learning how to cope with it, but I'm lucky to have a supportive partner to make the whole thing easier. It's a crazy learning curve!

  1. My mom has diabetes- my grandma as well. They are both on insulin, and for the most part, they just try and do what they can to balance their diet, etc.

My daughter has type 1 diabetes, she was diagnosed at 3 1/2 and is now 12. At first it was hard because of how small she was. And now that she's gotten older it's seems just as hard because she's so worried about being singled out in school. To help her, she goes to a diabetes summer camp where it's only kids with diabetes so no one has to feel alone.

  1. My mother has it. She uses insulin, watches what she eats, but beyond that, she doesn't need to do more.

My father does. He is on insulin shots and monitors his sugar every couple of hours. His feet aren't in the best shape and his cuts and bruises take a long time to heal.
